Full Time Golf & Education

The only full-time golf and education programme on the island of Ireland

As a talented golfer, you may already be thinking about how the sport of golf will fit into your adult life. Understanding the importance of these choices – the Darren Clarke Golf School two-year BTEC full-time programme allows you to keep many pathways open.

The full time 2-year 36-week per year course (residential option available) that combines a golf and educational programme which is unique and provides an opportunity to experience why Darren Clarke is one of the world’s leading golfers. The programme offers a qualification that produces a clear pathway to higher education and is provided by state funded Northern Regional College.  It allows you to keep your options open while you work towards reaching your golf potential.

For the golf component of the programme, which will take up approximately half of your schooling week, you will have access to excellent practice facilities (based at the GUI Ulster branch Elite Training Facility), golf courses, fitness suite, and technology such as Flightscope and Trackman launch monitors and Gasp video analysis. We also spend time training abroad with warm weather training during the winter period.

Locations Available for the BTEC Programme: Based at the excellent location of Greenmount Campus in Antrim, Co. Antrim.

We are extremely proud of some of our past students and the paths they have chosen to follow upon leaving the school. Below is an example of four of the many career progression routes available to students when they leave the Darren Clarke Golf School.
